Grandma Jean's visit and Father's Day

Benson's mom came and visited over Father's Day. It was a lot of fun to have her here. On Father's Day Brooklyn and Jean made meatball heros for dinner and they were yummy.

Jeremy: Dead people must be having fun today.

Me: Why!?!

Jeremy: Because it's snowing on their graves and they can play in it!

Me: (chuckle)

Jeremy: What, I mean because you haven't showered yet!

I think he was trying to be nice because it was my birthday. I hadn't showered yet because we were going for a bike ride and I figured I would wait till after that. Anyway, it was hilarious.

The kids wanted me to make cookies and I didn't want to because I am doing weight watchers again. So Jeremy responded with: "If you were skinny we wouldn't be in this mess!"

I then decided to make my kids some cookies.

Benson's nephew Zach was in town so we all went to Chuck E Cheese's. When we left Jeremy said, "This is the best day of the night ever!"

Jeremy: Dad, for your next birthday I am going to buy you a motorcycle.

Benson: That's really nice of you Jer but it cost a lot of money.

Jeremy: I will use my pay check.

Benson: What pay check?

Jeremy: The one from baseball.

Benson: Well someday that would be really nice for you to get a pay check for playing baseball.

Jeremy is my brother short and skinny,

Jeremy in his goofy laughing voice with the camera in his hand, "Mom I took a picture of you bum and I'm going to post it on the internet!" (Good thing he doesn't know how too!)

We were on our way home from church and Jeremy was talking about his prayer rock that his teacher gave him. He was saying where he was going to put it and all that. Well Brooklyn said: Why don't you just keep it under your pillow like me?

Jeremy: (with a gasp) No, then the rock fairy will come and take it!

Jeremy was taking a shower before his first day of school and I went in to check on him.

Me: Jeremy have you washed your hair?

Jeremy: Yes, and behind my ears. I want to be all clean for my first day of school.

I was talking to Jeremy about what he learned in primary.

Me: Jeremy what did you learn about today?

Jeremy: I don't know.

Me: Did you learn about the Holy Ghost?

Jeremy: Oh yeah.

Me: What did you learn about the Holy Ghost?

Jeremy: Just about the Holy Ghost.

Me: So, what did you learn about the Holy Ghost?

Jeremy: Nothing, I didn't learn anything the Holy Ghost.

Me: Did you learn that the Holy Ghost can help you know if a decision is right or not?

Jeremy: Oh, yeah.

Jeremy: "Mom when is Grandma going to come alive again, she has been dead for a long time."

I think this all came about with something in Primary. They must have talked about Christ being resurrected.

Jeremy "organized" some drawers for me and then said, "Mom, you could never live without me could you."

Jeremy, Ryan and I went to Target but I didn't remember what exit to take and then I realized I forgot my wallet. So Jeremy said to me, "Mom, I know your body got enough sleep but your brain didn't."

Jeremy on our way home from pre-school, "Where's Dad? Oh, he's probably doing something important like playing Guitar Hero."

I swear Brooklyn is such an old lady sometimes.

Brooklyn when we went outside to ride bikes, "I haven't rode this baby in a long time!"

Jeremy: "Mom, why do we never see Dad in his costume?"

On Sunday I had to give a talk. After the talk Jeremy came up to me and said, "Good job Mom." I responed with a thanks and then he said, "Dad told me to say that."

Jeremy was upset because I wouldn't let him play the Xbox all morning. I told him that he needed to do other things so he could grow up to be strong and smart. I asked what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said a police officer. He said, "Police officers need to get the bad boys that don't throw away their garbage." I said, "Yeah, something like that!?!"

Jeremy was on skype talking to Caitlin. She asked about the house and Jeremy's response was, "We are getting the yellow house, but if we don't we are walking away!" Then he turns to me and asks, "Can we drive away, it would be faster?" (We were having issues with the short sale, so you can tell Jeremy was listening to conversations we have had.)

Jeremy was holding Ryan and Ryan was fussing so Jeremy said, "Ryan, you have no Christmas spirit."

Jeremy loves to get right in Ryan's face. Well Ryan is getting to the age where he will grab whatever. So he grabbed Jeremy and Jeremy got all upset demanding that we buy a cage to put Ryan in.

On Thanksgiving Benson said we were going to go around the table and say what we are thankful for. Right away we notice Jeremy running around the table yelling, "cookies and candy, cookies and candy!" So we ask him what he is doing and he acts all annoyed and says, "Dad said we are going around the table saying what we are thankful for."

I was brushing Jeremy's teeth and he asked "Do germs go pee?"

Me on the phone with Mom: "All they do is fight!"

Jeremy: "No, we sleep too!"
