Cannon Beach and Hug Point

On Wednesday we ventured west to the beach. We first headed to Cannon Beach and spent most of the day there. The dogs had a great time running all over. Aspen and Brooklyn

Enjoying the beach.
Can't go to the beach without trying to fly the kites.
Even Ryan had to try.

Lucia Falls and Moulton Falls

On Tuesday of the Weinberger vacation extravaganza we went to see the falls. We saw the salmon swimming up stream and jumping over the falls...
tadpoles in the little pools of water...

the boys played in the grass...
took some family pics...
watched the water...
hiked up to the bridge...
and eventually threw huge rocks off the bridge.
Benson took this awesome picture of these flowers.
We came home had dinner and then made a fire, roasted marshmallows, and made smores.

We even played with the flashlight and camera.
We are having such a good time having them here. I don't know what we will do when they leave!

Downtown Portland

Matt, Dayna and kids are here visiting. It is so good having them here. On Monday we went and explored Portland. We saw things that I didn't even know existed.

We started off at the St. John's Bridge. It is such a cool bridge. Brooklyn, Aspen, McKinley, Jeremy, and Caton
Brooklyn loves being around Aspen. She copies a lot of the things Aspen does.

This is the smile I get when I ask Ryan for a smile.

We walked onto the Steel Bridge.
A view of downtown from the bridge.
A fountain that I didn't even know was there.
A view from the Vista Bridge looking into downtown.
Me and Brooklyn on the Vista Bridge.
At the end of the day we hung out in the backyard and a fun game of tug-of-war was played.

A beautiful Saturday

I am trying to get caught up with my posts. Anyway, back on June 12th Benson had to work all day at the Waterfront for the Rose Festival. I knew it was going to be a beautiful day and didn't want to sit home. So I made plans with my neighbors. We went down to the waterfront in Vancouver and rode our bikes to the Saturday Market at the park... the kids got sno cones...
played around...

Mike took the kids for bike rides in the baby carrier...

we played in the water...

played in the grass along the waterfront...
had dinner at WhoSong and Larry's on the water...

meanwhile Ryan napped...

the kids had ice cream...then we walked along the waterfront.
It was a wonderful day, the only thing missing was Benson.
