a new baby

I don't know how many of you have noticed but on the side of my blog is a link to my sister's adoption blog. Well on Monday Janel got a call from the agency she is working with. They called to tell her that a birth mom had a baby boy on Saturday and wants to meet her and her husband at the hospital that day. Janel called me so excited to tell me about it. She and Johnny met with the birth mom and within a few hours they were bringing home their sweet baby boy Wyatt.
Luckily Janel knew that her next baby was going to be a boy. They had a room done already and lots of clothes bought for him. My mom and other sister made a run to the store for some diapers and of course more clothes for the little guy. They took Avery to get balloons to welcome her new baby brother home. (By the way, Janel's birthday was on Tuesday. I don't think this year will ever be topped.) A new family of 4
Congratulations guys, we are so happy for you. Hopefully we will see you soon. I can't wait to meet my newest nephew.

telling a story

(These pics have bad shadows but I love the little story going on.)

I feel like the Paparazzi

I have been trying to get a good picture of Ryan and he is trying his hardest to keep me from taking a good picture of him. I wanted some pictures with the sun shining on him because it had been a few days since we had seen the sun and it was wonderful. Anyway, here are a few outtakes that I thought were cute.

I love this one. He has this look like, "Are you ever going to leave me alone."

bathroom remodel

We have been talking about doing something with our downstairs bathroom for quite some time and last week it all happened. We were at Home Depot and they had a light fixture on clearance and their paint base too. So we did a complete overhaul of the bathroom for $80 including pictures and knick knacks. I was pretty excited.
(Sorry the pictures had to be taken at funny angles.)

We are really happy with the way that it turned out.

one of my favorite's

I love this picture of Brooklyn and Jeremy. They were sleeping in the same room but not in the same bed. Well I went in there and this is how they were. Sharing a twin bed with a blanket under them that says "love". It really couldn't have been more appropriate. The next morning I asked why they were in the same bed and apparently Jer was scared. So sweet!

temple pictures

A few people have asked to see more pictures for the plaques. So here is what I have so far. I hope you like them.

new blog

I started a new blog. It is my photo blog. I can't really call it my photography blog because I don't feel like a true photographer yet. Someday soon I hope to call myself that. I am working on it. I am signing up for some classes here soon. But for being the amateur that I am, I am happy with what pictures I have taken so far.

So without further ado...please welcome my photo blog, Capturing Life's Moments! Just click on the link to the right.

(Now I just need to convince Benson to let me go buy Photoshop because I just don't think Picasa is going to cut it anymore. Wish me luck!)

newest projects

If you remember, I had to make something to hang our Christmas stockings on. Well Christmas is over and I now needed things to replace the stockings. So I decided to take our family picture and do this... I was really happy with the result. Well, my good friend came over and I had to show her. She told me I should do something similar with the Young Women's theme for 2010. With a lot of help from my friend this is the finished project. I really am happy with it. Now I hope I can sell a few. We shall see.
I took this picture of the Salt Lake Temple when we were in Utah for Christmas 2008. It is fun to use my own picture for a project. I also have one of the Portland Temple that I am going to use. So exciting!
If you know anyone that would be interested send them here:

licorice never looked so good

I was trying to get one cute picture of Ryan with his licorice. I guess this first one is it. I do think it is pretty cute but I thought you would all enjoy the outtakes. I laughed out loud when I looked at them.

I have so many other pictures to post but I thought this would be a good laugh for everyone.

Little Ry

I love this little kid. He drives me crazy but I love him. He is so adventerous. He is always always always on the go. I can't get him to stop long enough to get a good picture of him. I don't even ask him to sit down just to stop moving and it doesn't happen. Ryan loves to be a part of everything. He wants to play with the big kids, eat all by himself with a fork or spoon, put on big kids shoes, put on and wear Jer's coat, repremand the kids when I do, tell the dog what to do, help vacuum, sort laundry, brush his hair, dance just like the do on So You Think You Can Dance (it's pretty funny), and he loves to talk. Ryan is such a ball of energy that I have a hard time keeping up with him sometimes. Ryan also loves to give kisses and hugs, read books, body slam Sarge, go for walks, eat and then eat a little more just to make sure he is full. He really is a lot of fun but I can't wait until he is old enough to go to Nursery so I can actually enjoy church.

new camera fun

I am absolutely loving the new camera Benson got me and so is Brooklyn. She asks all the time if we can take pictures. Of course it is a good combination because I love taking pictures. Here are a few that we have taken. These were just taken out front of our house.
