I can't wait!

I have been blog surfing tonight and I am feeling a little lonely. It seems every blog I look at talks about spending time with all of their family. You know the traditional summer vacations. We haven't had any. We did get to see Sarah and David for a day and that was wonderful. I am just missing the week long fun visits with lots of family. I knew I wouldn't be able to go to Utah this summer with being prego and all that and everyone is waiting to come here until the baby is born. It has just been really hard. I am so excited to have my sisters and parents and neice come and visit and be able to go and do some fun things together. I know the kids are really looking forward to it also. They keep asking when they are going to come. I always tell them that they will come after the baby comes. So I don't know if they keep asking when the baby is coming because they want to see the baby or they want to see "Utah". That is what Jeremy calls my parents and 2 younger sisters. Anyone else that hasn't made plans to come see us and the baby but wants to please feel free. We love having the company!

37 weeks and counting

Today marks 37 weeks of pregnancy done! I can't believe we are getting down to the end. But I look and feel ready to have this baby. As you can tell I am not lacking in size. I am having a hard time keeping my tummy covered with my shirts! I am also not sleeping well. I now sleep in the lazy boy so I don't have to have all that pressure on my hips at night. They were really throbbing by morning time. I had a doctor's appointment on Monday and the doc said that he is face down and things are moving along quite well. (I will spare you the dilation details and all that.) She said she would be surprised if I made it to 39 weeks. So I thought I would help this baby along and my friend and I are going to get foot massages in the next couple of days. Apparently there are pressure points in your feet that can induce labor. We shall see. I have actually enjoyed this pregnancy but you reach a point where enough is enough and I am ready to get back on the work out train.

We pretty much have everything ready for the baby. I have spent many hours in Jeremy's room reorganizing and dejunking to make room for the baby. The crib is now up, the car seat is clean, the drawers are full of clothes, blankets, and diapers! Let me know if I am missing anything! I do need to pack some bags and have them ready for the kids and me, oh and the baby! This picture is for Brooke and Cait who have asked to see a pic of my tummy.

Newport, Oregon with David and Sarah

David and Sarah were at the Oregon coast last week and invited us to come and visit them one day. We went last Wednesday and had a really good time. It was nice to get away from the heat in Tualatin. Unfortunately it was super windy on the beach but I think we got some decent pictures. We went down onto the beach so that Ruby (Sarah's dog) could get some play time with the kids. The kids love Ruby. The kids decided the stairs was a better place to be then on the beach with sand blowing on their legs.

This is at the playground of the hotel David and Sarah were staying at. Uncle David even got in on the playground fun with the kids. They were playing pirates.

David and Sarah had a wonderful view of the beach from the balcony of their hotel room. That is where these last 2 pictures were taken from. This also happens to be the same hotel Benson and I stayed at when I was pregnant with Brooklyn and we came to Oregon for Bryce and Brenley's wedding 7 years ago.

Oregon Coast Aquarium

Because it was so windy at the beach we went to the aquarium with David and Sarah. The weather was perfect there. When we first got there we were looking at different sea creatures bones and feeling their fur. Jeremy was not real interested in that. He wanted to see the stuff that was alive. Sarah, Brooklyn, and David looking at the fish in the tubes that we walked through. That was pretty cool.
I love this picture because everyone is looking in a different spot. Just shows you how much there was to see in these tanks!
I told Benson we had to get a picture inside on this sharks mouth because it is almost as big as his!
Jeremy loved the touch tanks!
Just some cool fish.
Brooklyn and Jeremy with Uncle David. The kids had such a blast with David and Sarah.
More touch tanks, there were sting rays and sharks in this one. Touching the sting rays was really cool! Not at all what I expected them to feel like. As you can tell Jeremy was totally into it, Brooklyn just watched from the side. I think she thought about it a couple of times but could never bring herself to actually touch them.
We also got to see the seals and sea lions get fed. That is always a fun experience. Thanks David and Sarah for inviting us to visit you at the coast and interupt your peaceful vacation! It was fun seeing you.

4th of July celebrations

On the 4th our ward had a pancake breakfast and parade. The kids got to decorate their bikes and they thought that was pretty fun, especially because they got to decorate with their friends. Benson and the missionaries
This is the "parade". I think it was more of a race then a parade. As long as the kids are happy who cares! You can see Jer in this picture. He is on the right hand side.
smiles all around
After this we came home and the kids and Benson rode their bikes some more. Benson then needed a nap because he had to go to work the night of the 4th. After his nap we met up with the Ravert's and went bowling and to their house for dinner. Then Benson had to leave for work at 7:00. :( It was sad that he was going to miss the fireworks with us but not a surprise. We then met the Ravert's at the park and watched the firework show. The End!
We had a fun day and are glad to have such good friends to celebrate with!

It's my party....

...and I will post what I want to!!! So Benson did take pictures on my birthday but I look horrible! So I decided I would post these pictures I took of my flowers. Aren't they pretty!?!

Okay, so I will post one picture. It is the best out of the bunch. Pretty sad, huh! I had a really good birthday. Benson and I went and saw the movie Get Smart. It was pretty funny. Then we went out to dinner and that was yummy. Then we went to our friends house that were babysitting the kids and had cake and ice cream. We had a good time hanging out with them. Brooklyn and Jeremy had a blast at their house. So one of my best presents was that for the next 3 days in was 70 degrees! Ahhhh, it was heavenly. Today is supposed to be back up to 80 and then get hotter as the week goes on.

O Canada!!!!

O Canada!
Our home and native land
True patriot love in all thy sons command...
We went up to Seattle for another Mariners game on Tuesday night, eh? And, for those of you who didn't know, such as myself, Tuesday was Canada Day, eh? The Mariners were playing the Blue Jays, so as you can guess, the all the Canadians came out in force, eh? There were maple leaf flags everywhere, eh? If it wasn't as hot as it was, I would have expected a pick-up game of curling to break out next to us, eh?

The family is not quite Canadian, but they are still cute, eh?

The view from the stadium of the sound is absolutely amazing, eh?

By far the coolest thing that happened this night was a fly-by by two Air Force F-15s and two Canadian FA-18s. It was awesome. I had goose bumps. Even Michelle said it was cool. I have never seen a fly-by at a stadium and it was very impressive. Had I been thinking about it, I would have tried to take a picture, but I wasn't really functioning by that point. By the way, out of reverence for the amazing moment, I dropped the Canadian, eh?

Well all of the above writing was done by Benson. Now it is my turn. It was a lot of fun to go to a game that was more United States vs. Canada. It was fun to cheer for a team again. There were a couple of times that the rivalry was strong. I told Benson I want to go again when they play the Blue Jays. It was pretty intense. Yesterday was a good baseball day in all. The Giants beat the Cubs 2-1 and the Mets beat the Cardinals 7-4. I should also tell you that the United States beat Cananda 7-6. It was a good time!

I also love the picture of Jeremy and Benson. They look so much alike. And I have to admit I think Benson looks pretty cute!
