two wheelin'

For the last few days Jeremy has been asking to have his training wheels taken off. So we decided we may as well let him try. Which is amazing that he wants his training wheels off because Brooklyn won't ride without hers. So we took them off yesterday and within minutes he was riding all by himself. Brooklyn of course didn't want her little 3 year 4 month old brother to show her up. So she asked for hers to come off also. So they are both now able to ride without training wheels. It is hilarious to watch Jeremy ride around. He just looks too little to ride a two wheeler. I must say we are pretty impressed. So were the neighbors when they saw him.
We have some video of Jeremy and Brooklyn riding but I am having a hard time loading it. So anyway I will work on it more tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the pics.

play time with dad

The kids love to wrestle with Dad. I thought I would take some pictures this time. Jeremy was riding him like he was a professional. That is why his arm is in the air.Benson collapses!
Ride him cowboy!
I know this is a really stupid idea but I decided to just sit back and watch. And be the one to comfort them when they fell and got hurt.
Here's the crash!
Just thought I would show you one thing we do when we are just hanging out.

Last weekend we had a cool little storm. Since we never have snow (or hail in this case) I thought I would share this picture. Benson named it the "Nor-Wester" Storm. In NY everyone talked about Nor-Easters so we figured we should have Nor-Westers. Anyway, we got hail and it was exciting for us. It even came with some thunder and lighting, which I also love.

sugar cookies

We had a fun time making cookies with Heidi, Nicole and Shelly on Thursday. The kids enjoyed every part of it.As you can see they got a little carried away with the flour!

Last year Jeremy didn't show too much interest in decorating cookies. Well it was quite different this year. This year after all the other kids finished frosting their first cookie they ate it, except for Jeremy. He was all business. He make 7 cookies and was upset when I told him he couldn't do anymore because we needed to save some for the other kids. He was totally into it, it was very cute.
Good job Brooklyn!

pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins

On Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Patch and let the kids each pick out a pumpkin. We had a fun time. They had baby chicks, a petting zoo, cows, pigs, and a little jungle gym. We also went on a hay ride. Jeremy started to warm up to the chicks (baby chickens that is) and he touched them but Brooklyn never got too close. Brooklyn's pumpkin

Jer's pumpkin

Did I mention they had a really cute sheep and horse there also?
Jeremy climbing on the jungle gym.

Now that is one scary ghost and not such a friendly scarecrow.

This was taken on the hay ride.

Going to California with an aching in my heart....

Well I don't know the rest of the words to the song. But I always love going back to California. It still kinda feels like home to me. I went to visit Adrienne who is currently living with her parents and that was my second home growing up. So I really felt like I was going home. I had such a good time with her. I love her family and it was fun spending time with them and meeting "Jonathan Beonka's" wife, Lindsay. Jonathan Beonka is Adrienne's brother. His real name is just John but I nicknamed him a long time ago and that is how Adrienne and I still know him. She told me, that on her phone she has him down as Beonka. I thought that was pretty funny. I love her mom so much too. She is my second mom. She went to the store and bought chocolate chips so she could make me chocolate chip pancakes and ingredients for Adrienne and I to make NBC's along with several other things. On Sunday her mom made a BIG family dinner and everyone came over. We had such a good time sitting around the table laughing and talking. I also went to visit Zach and Kelly Sunday morning and had breakfast with them. It was so good to see them again. Zach made us eggs and hashbrowns, it was really yummy.
Adrienne and I went to San Francisco on Saturday to try and find her an apartment. Unfortunately we didn't have any success. The rental market in SF right now is terrible. But between trying to find an apartment we got some cool pictures of the city. Here they are.

Thank you Adrienne for such a wonderful time. I love spending time with you and it was fun seeing everyone again. It felt just like old times! I also have to thank my wonderful husband who took care of the kids so I could leave for 4 days. Thank you Baby, I love you!!!
