Zoo Day

On Tuesday we took Uncle Matt and Grandma to the zoo. It was a really nice day. Here are a few pictures from our adventure.

Matt, Brooklyn, Jer and I took the zoo train to Washington Park.
On the train ride
Here is a view from the park. It is hard to see but Mt. Hood is behind the building in the distance. It was an awesome view.

Cannon Beach

On Saturday we went to Cannon Beach. It was a little windy and a little chilly but nice enought to enjoy a day at the beach. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the sand and collecting rocks and shells. We walked to Haystack Rock and saw starfish and sea urchins. We ate at Mo's and sat outside, it was right on the water. We enjoyed watching the people on the beach. We had a really fun day.

Graduation from the Police Academy

On Friday the 25th Benson graduated from the Police Academy. It was really exciting to finally be done with that. He still has more training to complete but he will be able to live at home for the rest of it. Benson's mom and brother Matt came for the graduation. Unfortunately we forgot to get a picture of all of us. Jeremy enjoyed seeing the police cars just not the Police Officer's. He wasn't really sure of what to think of Benson in uniform.

Benson was in the color guard.

back on track

Well after taking almost a year break at watching what I eat I am back on track now. I actually signed back up for Weight Watchers to really keep me on track. I get to have more points then I thought I would be able to. Which was a nice surprise but also a horrible reality that I am fatter then I thought. Hopefully it will come off as quick as it did last time. I am crossing my fingers.

So if any of you have any really good low fat recipes let me know!

Mother's Day

Well I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Benson suprised me with breakfast in bed. He made my favorite, pancakes with lots of chocolate chips. They were very good. Then I got to open my presents before church. I got a new necklace, flip flops, a book, and pepper spray. I requested the pepper spray. After church we packed up a lunch and went to the park. At the park there is a trail that we took. It walks along the Tualatin River. It was really fun. Some friends of ours invited us over for dinner. We had a really good time hanging out and talking. I had to be home to watch the season finale to Survivor though. It was 3 hours of Survivor fun. It was a really nice day. I am sad it is over.

Jeremy's nursery teacher took this picture of us for Jeremy's Mother's Day gift. I put it on here because it is crazy how much the picture looks like all of Benson's brothers pictures from when they were around his age, especially with Jeremy's new haircut. I know it sounds lame but it is so nice to not have to do his hair in the morning because he fought me so much on it. Anyway, he
definitely has a Weinberger face. I think it is interesting because I think he has a lot of the Jeppson personality. He reminds me so much of my brother Steven. Jeremy is as tidy as can be and hates his hands being dirty. He also always has a mischievous smile on his face. Which I know Steven used to get in trouble for all the time because everyone always thought he was up to no good. Plus Jeremy has a love for sports. I can't wait until he is old enough to play on a team.

I hope all of you had a wonderful day too.

Newport Beach

When we went to Disneyland we stayed at my parents time share in Newport Beach. It was really pretty. We saw bunnies hopping around the grounds. There also was a pond of fish that the kids loved to go see. Brooklyn found the putting green and she asked Grandpa to teach her how to golf. They had a really fun time. Here are a few pictures from the grounds. Our last night there we sat around the fire pit and had smores.

Brooklyn took this picture all by herself.
This is the picture that was supposed to go down with the Disneyland ones. I thought it was only appropriate to get one of the kids behind bars.
On our way home we stayed a night with Zach and Kelly in San Jose. Zach was teaching Brooklyn how to throw a football. She had a lot of fun.

Well if you know me at all then you know these two big things about me. I LOVE Disneyland and I am TERRIFIED of elevators. I will start with what I love, the kids and I just got back from going to Disneyland. We had such a good time. We went with part of my family. Janel and Avery drove down with us to Disneyland. Then we met up with my parents and my sister Caitlin. Johnny (Janel's husband) met us at the end of the week and we celebrated Avery's 2nd birthday. We had such a good time. It was so much fun to take the kids on rides that I loved as a child. Brooklyn got up the nerve to try the rollercoasters and loved them. Jeremy went on the Matterhorn but decided that it was too much for him. It was so fun to listen to Brooklyn scream and giggle while riding the rollercoasters. We had such a blast.
Now for me being terrified of elevators. I went on the Tower of Terror in California Adventure. Wow, was that scary! I can't believe I did it and I would actually like to go on it again. Before I went on my dad told me that he didn't think I should go due to my major fear of elevators. But I didn't want to be a wimp. As I was standing in line with my brother in law Johnny and my sister Caitlin I was talking about how much I hate elevators. Johnny didn't know quite what to say. He kept saying you will be fine but just before we stepped into the ride he said, "Well, there is no reason that you should be going on this ride. It is everything you hate but yet here you are. I hope you're okay." At this point he knew it was too late for me to change my mind. It was pretty crazy. the carousel
Jer, Me, and Brooklyn in front of the castle.
Taking a break for some ice cream.
You have to have a picture with Mickey!
Buzz Lightyear, the first ride we went on.

Thanks to Auntie Adrienne the kids got to get hats. I was so glad Jeremy chose Mickey ears. He looked so stinkin' cute.
Sorry duplicate, but I couldn't figure out how to delete just one picture.

What a great week!!!!
It really is the happiest place on Earth!
(at least in my opinion)

Brooklyn's first T-ball game

Brooklyn had her first game on Thursday the 17th of April. She could not understand why they needed to play another team when they had so much fun at practice. But she did end up really enjoying it. It was really fun to watch her. Brooklyn's adoring fans!
It was really fun to have Janel and Avery come and spend a few days with us.

Getting ready to bat. Jeremy helping out in the dugout.
Go Brooklyn!
Brooklyn got to play first base. Talk about pressure.
